More Mainstream Coverage for Our Clients

Jada Stevens has an amazing new product–it’s a vape pen through The Kind Pen. The coverage of the press release and product was astounding, including being covered by kitsch tech site Gizmodo UK: http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2015/06/adult-star-gets-her-own-vape-hardware/.

Cosmo Interviews Owner/Publicist Erika Icon

Finally, the interview with our owner and publicist, Erika Icon, has posted to Cosmo’s website:

http://www.cosmopolitan.com/sex-love/news/a39370/what-its-like-to-be-a-pr-person-for-porn/?src=TrueAnth_COSMO_TW&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_content=5536dc90a56d6f758b000001&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter

Icon commented about the interview:

“I rarely do interviews, because it’s all about the clients, and this is the type of mainstream coverage we’re consistently getting for our clients. But, of course, I couldn’t say no to Cosmo. I’m really happy with how the piece turned out. People get to know the real me, but moreover, I hope that this article will earn women who work in this industry more respect in the real world.”

What Else Makes Us Different…Press Releases

The last blog post got us thinking about how else we’re different. One HUGE thing is our press releases, which are top-notch, and here’s why:

Erika Icon has a degree from UCLA in Fine Arts with a minor in English/writing. Unlike most publicists, she can actually write. Her grammar, vocabulary and spelling are incomparable.

You won’t see sites having to rewrite our PR or rejecting it. Yes, that does happen with other agencies.

Our press releases are creative and we spend a lot of time coming up with catchy titles that make people want to read what we write and keep their attention with great copy. We also don’t put the same press release out over and over–each one is an original.

We always quote someone else in press releases. We rarely quote ourselves or some “unnamed rep”.

Our press releases are about our clients 99 percent of the time, because it’s always about them. We rarely send out press about ourselves.

Press releases are important because they represent the clients, and they have to be great!

Cosmo Asks Erika Icon How The Rub PR Is Different

Our owner/publicist Erika Icon was recently interviewed by Cosmo magazine. The interviewer asked her how her PR company is different than most PR companies—it was easy for her to come up with an answer, because there is no other PR like The Rub PR. Here is some of the interview so you can get a sneak peek:

First of all, I’m a woman, and the female performers much prefer dealing with a woman.

We rarely send PR out about ourselves. Other PR companies like to boast about themselves and/or their owners. The Rub PR doesn’t do that and we always remember it’s ALL about our clients. In fact, I rarely even do interviews.

Although we have two employees, all of our clients deal with me personally. They get personalized attention. I work pretty much everyday, and actually put in the work needed to help my clients’ success.

We never over promise, but we definitely over deliver. That’s why we retain our clients most of our clients for years, not months.

We’ve gotten our clients more mainstream coverage than pretty much every adult PR firm out there. Kimber James, Mia Lelani and I were on Botched on E! last year. Brooklyn Chase is working on a reality show for Lifetime. And, Nikki Delano, Tia Cyrus and Kayla-Jane Danger were cast in a mainstream movie that’s a drama and will be hitting all the big independent festivals later this year—they had speaking roles and Kayla was a main character. One of my past clients was cast in a main role in the trilogy horror movie, Lazarus: Day of the Living Dead.

My clients have been recently interviewed for Elle, Cosmo Latina and Cosmo over the past few months. If I had to list all the websites and mags that have interviewed my clients, these come to mind: Jezebel, Cosmo, Cosmo Latina, Cosmo UK, Elle, Vice, Huffington Post, Gizmodo UK, Playboy, and Timeout Los Angeles. Of course, there are many more.

Other companies try to be us, but they’re not. So why would anybody hire a fake version of us, when they could have the real thing.

Our Clients Were Interviewed by Elle Magazine

Men are always wondering if the women they’re with are faking orgasms. But, what about porn stars? Elle Magazine writer Cheryl Wischhover asked five porn stars if they “fake it” in real life and/or on camera. Posted to Elle.com, “5 Female Porn Stars Sound Off Orgasms” consult with adult performers, Petite Powerhouse Jenna J Ross, Spicy Latina Nikki Delano, and curvaceous girl next-door Brooklyn Chase, and Queen of Lesbian Foot Fetish, ALT Model and Director Kayla-Jane Danger.

Read the article in its entirety here: http://www.elle.com/life-love/sex-relationships/q-and-a/a26865/porn-stars-sound-off-on-orgasms/. The article will also appear in a future printed issue of the magazine.

Also, look for an up close and in-depth interview of The Rub PR Owner, Erika Icon, in a future issue of Cosmo Magazine.
