This week is going to be extra special and busy. Owner and publicist, Erika Icon, will be lecturing for AEVC 2014 (the Adult Entertainment Virtual Convention). To watch her panel and seminar, log onto http://adultvirtualconvention.com and register.

Thursday, she will be doing a workshop called How to Write a Press Release in the AEVC Studio at 3pm PST/6pm EST. Friday’s panel The PR Life with a Porn Star is hosted by Icon and she’ll be joined by clients, Kayla-Jane Danger, Allison Moore and Jennifer Best on the Main Hall Stage at 12pm PST/3pm EST.

Also on Friday, Karla Lane’s celebrating her birthday at Club Sex Addict in Van Nuys with a cavalcade of her AVN-nominated adult starlet friends. The night will feature live sex shows, a cam show with Karla and Benji Strokes at 10pm PST/1am EST viewable on http://nookiechat.com/, Karla’s movies playing all night long via http://www.plumperpass.com, and giveaways from Cal Exotics and Sensational Video. How We’re Different

I’ve been having quite a few meetings with potential new clients (companies and performers) and I am repeatedly asked how we are different.

The Rub PR is NOT like any other adult PR company out there, so if you’re thinking about hiring us this why you should:

  • We offer extremely good pricing on our services and have way more services than the other firms–so you get more bang for  your buck.
  • We’ve gotten over half a dozen clients cast in mainstream productions (including reality TV and Indie movies) over the last year. We’ll making more announcements about clients in new projects over the next few weeks and months.
  • In the last 6 months, we’ve attained radio shows for 5 clients.
  • We found everyone of our clients had a place to sign during AEE, and many of them were paid for their time. This goes for all the major trade shows.
  • Our client, Kayla-Jane Danger, worked the red carpet interview people at the AVN Awards and The Sex Awards. And yes, we got her those gigs.
  • We help our clients get feature dancing gigs through bookers, talent agencies and sometimes even the clubs.

Hiring the Right PR Firm

Now that awards season is over, we’re getting a lot of emails and calls about potential clients wanting to sign up. Potential clients are realizing the importance of PR and the best part is they’re not waiting until right before awards season.

From time to time, new so called PR firms crop up. A seasoned publicist knows that the chances of them succeeding are slim to none, and that a lot of people think they can do PR. In the adult biz, there are about four agencies that do stellar work and really make things happen. That’s four out of about 10.

People in the industry know who to come to based on current and past client referrals, track records and what we make happen for our clients. We get our clients in the top magazines, their own radio shows, places to sign at trade shows (and many times paid), toy lines, and even mainstream work–this is just a few of the services we offer. We’ve proven our selves time and time again, and in less than six years have become one of the top adult PR agencies in the biz.
